The mission of the ZYA of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated is to help youth grow culturally, socially and educationally by providing a carefully designed program of activities, aimed to enhance the mind, body, and spirit as they work within their various communities to help others.

Early in its existence, Zeta Phi Beta committed itself to improve the health and welfare of children and youth. Throughout its existence, Zeta has conducted national and local projects that would improve conditions among these populations. The sorority sponsored a national juvenile delinquency project the first 45 years of its existence. Different aspects were highlighted through special projects, such as Foster Home Care, Youth Conferences, Tinker Shops and the development of youth groups (i.e. Amicettes and Archonettes).

The first clubs were formed in the 1950’s under the name of Zetalites, Amicettes, and Archonettes. These clubs were composed of young ladies between the ages of nine (9) and eighteen (18) who were matriculating in junior and senior high schools.

Our award-winning program is for girls from 4 to 18. We mentor them to become outstanding leaders in their community, encourage and provide opportunities for them to demonstrate their leadership in service to the community, and instill in them the ideals of scholarship, sisterhood, and community service.

These clubs are sponsored by graduate chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. The Zeta Youth Affiliate members are included, whenever appropriate, in Zeta Phi Beta programs and projects as observers and participants. Many programs have been developed and guidelines established for our Zeta Youth Affiliates and they have become viable links of the Sorority.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority offers young women an opportunity to become active supporters of the organization’s goals, programs, and activities. These community members are invited to become members of any of our auxiliary groups established through our international headquarters.

These groups include:

  • Pearlettes: Girls under 9 years old who are mentored by ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated to become outstanding leaders in their community.
  •  Amicettes: Girls 9 to 13 years of age who are willing to strive toward the high ideals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and who demonstrate the potential for leadership in service to the community.
  •  Archonettes: High school-aged young ladies who demonstrate an interest in the goals and the ideals of scholarship, sisterly love, and community service.

Due to COVID - 19 and under the direction of CDC and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated all meetings are held virtually.  If you have questions or would like more information about the Zeta Youth Affiliate Groups, please contact Youth Coordinator, Gladys Gissentanna, at youthcoordinator@zphibsigmaomegazeta.org
